164 Chinese traders quarantined before buying lychee in Bac Giang

The Immigration Department (Ministry of Public Security) has approved for 164 foreigners (Chinese traders) to enter Vietnam (first period) to survey, negotiate and buy lychee in Bac Giang province.

Accordingly, these people must follow medical isolation measures to prevent Covid-19 disease as regulation such as showing certificate with result tested negative to SARS-CoV-2 issued by Chinese authorized medical facilities within 3 days, applying concentrated isolation (without any exception), testing twice before leaving from the quarantine site.

Health worker, public security force and receptionist will serve at each quarantine site to control and prevent any risk of disease infection from the foreigners entering to buy lychee. It helps facilitate a smooth lychee purchasing activity.

Bac Giang province enjoys a bumper lychee season this year with estimated output of 185,000 tonnes of fruits, in which Luc Ngan district has about 120,000 tonnes (up nearly 30,000 tonnes comparing to the figure last year).

The harvest time is expected from May 20 till July 30, 2021.
