Bac Giang farmers launches first livestream on Sendo to sell lychee

Farmers in Luc Ngan, Bac Giang province have launched a Livestream to sell lychee for the first time that is expected to subscribe by millions of customers nationwide.

When the clock hits 11 am on June 6, Luc Ngan farmers joined in the first Livestream ever on Sendo e-commercial platform to promote Luc Ngan’s thieu lychee to consumers nationwide. It attracted enormous attention from netizens and a series of orders were placed.

Sendo staff joined hands with Bac Giang Youth Union officials to guide farmers to practice live streams and post pictures and videos of lychees on Facebook, Senlive, etc. to promote products and take orders.

Bui Van Hoang, Deputy Secretary of Bac Giang Provincial Youth Union shared: “The biggest purpose of the program is to support farmers to sell as many lychees as possible. In addition, the program also displays another aspect of business thinking, as well as gradually bringing people closer to new forms of sales.”

From Sendo’s part, Bui Van Tu, in charge of business development in the North said: This campaign is considered the most special and fastest transfer of "sales technology" ever of Sendo.

In the context of Covid-19, when the consumption of agricultural products is struggling, the activity is an actual and meaningful present that we want to offer farmers.

Smooth consumption is always an issue that many localities are still struggling to find a way to solve. Thanks to this occasion, Luc Ngan farmers will acknowledge a new channel to sell their products.

According to Tu, the first Livestream was held at Phi Dien Cooperative, Phi Dien commune (Luc Ngan, Bac Giang), customers watching online can order directly at a favorable price of only VND16,000 kilogram.

Initially, the program was deployed in three markets: Hanoi, Da Nang, and Ho Chi Minh City. It is expected to expand to other provinces in the country when the first ones are effective.

To ensure that the product remains fresh and delicious, after taking the order, fresh lychees are collected in the garden, packed in 7kg and 12kg weighted styrofoam boxes, sealed with traceability stamp, and shipped by refrigerated vehicle.

In nearby localities, buyers can receive the products within the day. However, the afar customers will receive their lychees within 48 hours.

Sendo expects that via Livestream, as many as 100 tons of lychee will be sold out in 5 days of the program (from 6/6 to 10/6/2021).
