Bac Giang supports farmer in bio-safety chicken breeding

On 31 July, the provincial Red Cross Society collaborated with its senior agency to provide 6,000 chicks, chickens’ food and vaccines to 10 households at Huong Son and An Ha communes, Lang Giang district, Bac Giang province.

It is one of the activities under the project of “building the model of raising colored- feather meat chickens with high productivity, quality and bio-safety in family farm” in 2018. 

The participants will be supported with 100 percent of breeds’ cost, 50 percent of chickens’ food and vaccination and a part of veterinary and antiseptic medicine‘s expenses. Besides, they are required to commit to the bio-safety breeding process.

This project has been carried out in the three provinces of Hai Duong, Thai Binh and Bac Giang, aiming at building 9 farming models of 54,000 chickens including two breeds of Luong Phuong cross-bred rooster and yellow-feather small breed of fowl (Ri chicken).

This model has been launched in Bac Giang since August 2017. So far, it has supported 20 households with 12,000 chicks, chicken’s food and vaccination, helping them develop their farming and increase income and their living standard.
