Israeli Juran preservation system for fresh lychee under test run
The Department of Science and Technology in Bac Giang province has reported to complete installing the technology line of Israeli Juran company on preserving lychees at Toan Cau Food Export and Import Joint Stock Company (Luc Ngan district).

Currently, the Israeli experts are transferring the technology to the recipient. The line was tested by three tonnes of fresh lychees as of July 9.
After a successful operation, the system will be able to treat the fruits for the upcoming seasons with the capability of 70 tonnes per hour. The technology can help maintain the natural red color of lychee’s peel as well as the fruit’s flavor, avoiding the lychee’s peel to turn brown after three days. With the system, lychee will maintain its red color in 4-5 weeks.
As to know, it belongs to the national project of “Researching the application of technology of Israeli Juran company on preserving lychees and some other fruits for export”, executed by the Centre for Advanced Science and Technology Application (Department of Science and Technology) with a total expense of over 21.3 billion VND (934,900 USD) mobilized from the Central and provincial budgets for science and technology.
