Surviral Calculator

Survival and growth have the greatest impact on the economic performance of shrimp production, and correct feeding is essential for both (Wyban et al. 1989). Monitoring the biomass of the crop regularly is an important aid in improving the food conversion ratio (FCR) and maximising the growth rate, survival rate, yield and good management practices in shrimp farming. The Survival Calculator simple tool that helps farmers to calculate how many shrimp is stocking in your pond.

Survival Calculator is not designed to replace a fisheries expert. Rather, it is designed to be used as a management tool for famers to more closely estimate the survival rate of shrimp in their ponds. When used correctly, the program will help famers estimate number of shrimp (pcs); biomass of prawns in pond (kg). Determine how may feeds per day, less expensive feeds. That is good management practices in shrimp farming.

If you experience any technical difficulties or have questions about the program or you are a fisheries expert, please Feedback. We highly appreciate your cooperation and we thank you in advance for taking the time to share your bright ideas.
