10 Onion Secrets Of His Cultivation For Excellent Harvest!

First secret. Onions do not like clay soil, if you have one, you need to fill the soil with sand and peat and mix. Still, you should have a slightly alkaline soil if it’s sour, do not forget to fall by spring (late spring) to detoxify.

Second secret. When planting the apple, soak it for 10-20 minutes in a potassium permanganate solution to disinfect the seedlings.

Third secret. Then you need to trim the top of the heads to germinate faster.

The fourth secret. Pour a little salt in order to help fight the flies.

The fifth secret. Next to the onion beds, must be planted carrots, which also drive away the onions. And the onions, on their part, chase the flies on the carrots. So they have a mutual benefit.

Sixth secret. Follow these three steps for fertilizing.

The first phase is feeding a solution of 1 liter of water and fertilizer or 1 bucket of water and 30-40 grams of superphosphate pre-dissolved in warm water and a glass of ash.

The second feeding is in two weeks:

Superphosphate – 30 grams + 10 grams of urea + 5 grams of potassium solution.

Third feeding – at the end of June – 30 grams of superphosphate + 10 grams of urea + 5 grams of potassium. If you feed at the beginning of July, turn off nitrogen (urea).

Under no circumstances allow nitrogen fertilizers to surplus as the onions will get sick. Potassium is best suited for onion because it is susceptible to sulfur, and potassium is dependent on its storage.

Seven secret. Under no circumstances use fresh manure and potassium chloride (if you do, you are about to reduce the yield immediately). Do not neglect phosphorus – its amount depends largely on the onion crop.

Eighth secret. It is very important because we all want to keep the onion as long as possible. So remove the ripe onions before the first rains in autumn, best from the end of July to the end of August. Later subtraction raised questions not only about the onion itself, but also about the reputation of the good gardener -nothing will help you keep the onion really long.

The Nine Secret. Of course, you should as well as possible dry the onion in an attic airy room. Then remove all dried feathers, leaving them 8-10 cm long.

Tenth secret. From time to time, sort the onion. If even one head breaks down, those who are near it will be spoiled. Believe it or not, but the onions can be stored until the next harvest in paper bags.

We wish you a rich onion harvest all year round!
