How To Make Vertical Garden In 6 Steps!

If you are the owner of a very small site, then use this kind of cool idea. Build a vertical bed and the problem of lack of land will be solved! How to make such a vertical bed?

You will need:

– plants for planting (in our case strawberry bushes)

– 100 mm or 150 mm diameter PVC drainage pipe

– the soil

– coarse gravel

– drill

– chisel 2-3 mm

– plug for the drainpipe

– a tube of a narrower diameter (15 mm or so) is 8-10 cm longer than the drainpipe

– adhesive tape

– burlap

– twine

– high capacity.

Step 1. Determine the length and cut the drainpipe and the narrower tube, respectively. We remind you, a narrow tube for irrigation is 8-10 cm longer.

Step 2. In a narrow tube, drill the holes for irrigation. But do them only in the top 2/3 of the tube. Because otherwise all the water will go to the lower layers and there will be too moist soil.

Step 3. We wrap the tube for sacking with burlap and tie it with twine so that the roots do not touch the holes in the tube, seal the lower end of the pipe with adhesive tape.

Step 4. Cut the hole in the main pipe with a drill. The distance between them is about 20 cm. Only 3 rows. Bottom leave some space without holes.

Step 5. We begin to collect the construction. We take a large capacity and put the pipe – this will avoid the fall of the structure. We close the bottom of the pipe with a lid and attach it so that the pipe can be carried, and the lid is in place, we insert a thin tube into it. Fill the lower 10 cm of the pipes with a large gravel – this will allow the construction to be stable.

Step 6. Fill the soil and plant strawberries. Watering by filling a thinner tube, as the watering level of water in the tube will become lower. The tower is ready!
