Mangosteen in the area grows well. Lai Thieu mangosteen is smooth, not grainy, no cracks, no pus, red or dark red. Mangosteen here is easy to distinguish from mangosteen from other countries that are small, short stalks, uneven round fruit, not eye-catching colors but thinner and tastier when eaten. Currently, the ward has 295 households with mangosteen with a total area of ​​625,889m2. This year, the local mangosteen crop is expected to increase by 20% or more compared to the previous year's crop.

At this time, mangosteen gardens in Lai Thieu area sell for 70,000 - 80,000 VND a kg, at the fruit stalls selling along the routes in the area at a higher price. Ms. Nguyen Thi Bich Dao, owner of a fruit stall in An Thanh ward, Thuan An town, said that compared to many other fruits, mangosteen always kept prices stable. At the beginning of the season, the price of bamboo shoots sold from 80,000 to 90,000 VND a kg depending on type; And when the crop is full, the average price is from 50,000 to 70,000 VND a kg depending on type.
