Vietnam studies unmanned helicopters for agriculture

The task facilitates learning foreign experiences and techniques, and improve the capacity of Vietnamese researchers and trainers.

Vietnam’s Ministry of Science and Technology has approved of studying unmanned helicopters for agricultural use under a program on bilateral and multilateral research cooperation in science and technology by 2020.

The task targets to design, manufacture and test unmanned helicopters for use in farming. In addition, it facilitates learning foreign experiences and techniques and improve the capacity of Vietnamese researchers and trainers.

The ministry requires one unmanned helicopter with the following parameters: useful load of at least 15kg, flying ceiling of 50m, maximum flying speed of 7m/s, with operational range of 2km.

Besides, other requirements are the design file, set of manufacturing and installation processes, documents guiding the use, operation and maintenance of unmanned helicopters for agriculture, four articles or reports at international and domestic scientific conferences, mentoring two masters or one doctoral student.

All the application profiles can be sent to office of National Science and Technology Programs under Ministry of Science and Technology, No.113 Tran Duy Hung, Hanoi. The deadline for application submission is 17:00, March 11, 2019.
